I have a Cheer Team requesting me to be their Bow Queen for Next Season and I'm thrilled at all the design ideas it has flooded me with.  Here are some of the creations I've come up with through the design process and be sure there is More to Come!

Giana's Gems Custom Request Form

I stumbled across Google's Spreadsheet Form and was able to create a Custom Bow Request Form.

It looks so jazzy and when people fill out the form - it automatically generates the answers into an .xls spreadsheet on the Google Drive.  Another reason why I Love all things Google!

Giana wears a Gem Today

I became a Bow Making Junkie after having Giana. Of course, just like the shoe maker's kid that doesn't wear shoes.. My daughter, Giana, refuses to wear my bows. Well, for the last few months, that is.

Today I was able to put a ponytail in her hair & clip a bow in! Oh Happy Day! Giana Wears A Gem!

I took my 2 youngest to the Van Vleck House in Montclair, NJ for the Sugar Maple Tree event with even higher hopes of taking pictures of her. I snapped a few on the iPhone & maybe 1 or 2 decent ones on the Nikon. Still none showing how beautiful the bow is.

Grand Opening - Etsy Store

Giana's Gems Etsy Store has Arrived!

I originally planned to use my bow making addiction for donations and gifts to family & friends.  As time has gone by, word of mouth has grown my fan base and requests are coming in.   I can no longer give my bows away as the cost of supplies are adding up.   

I am still going to gift/donate my bows to those I choose are deserving.  I am calling that RAK - Random Acts of Kindness.  I'm not sure how often that will happen but we will take it as it comes.  I encourage you to message me about your story or others you know that are having difficulties that could use a bit of cheer.  I will be happy to send some bows.  I am a firm believer that receiving a small package or envelope in the mail can brighten anyone's day - just knowing they are thought of.

I want to thank everyone for showing their support to Giana's Gems and spreading the word about my little shop.

New Year-New Beginnings-New Designs

New Year!!
Hope Everyone is having a great start to the New Year!

New Beginnings
Lots of things planned for Giana's Gems in the year 2013. Plans for selling the bows & headbands, creating a web page (which will take time as I am learning to create/build myself) and hand crafting a good supply of bows that will be ready to ship.

New Designs
I'm in love with the fascinators-lots of rosettes, tulle, netting, beads and sparkle on an elastic headband or clip.
New Designs are in the works -my fingers are wrapping rosettes & covered in glue!

2012 Kerri Liles Photography

During the Fall a friend introduced me to  Kerri Liles FB Page

She has a child with Down syndrome and does amazing work with children of Down syndrome. She also has a giving & generous spirit that you can feel even over the Internet.

She inspired me to donate some bows that she could use during her newborn sessions and then give to her babies as parting gifts.

She was so appreciative and sent her fans to support my fan page.

I love giving and will continue to do so for such a wonderful woman!
